Whether you are referred to our practice by your dentist or come to us directly, we’ll arrange a convenient time to meet you for your initial implant assessment. This appointment will last approximately an hour, during which time you’ll meet the dental implants team. We will take a detailed dental and medical history – in addition to being highly experienced and dedicated to implant surgery, Dr Ashish Deved is also medically qualified.

You can ask any questions you may have during this time, before we undertake a thorough examination of your mouth. We may take photographs and x-rays as necessary, to help establish your bone density. In most cases at this stage we’ll be able to advise you on your suitability for dental implants, and will discuss in detail all the treatment options available to you, will explain how implants work and will talk through both the process and the costs of your treatment.

If your case is more complex, for example if you have poor bone volume requiring further treatment such as bone grafts, we’ll discuss this with you. We may also take models of your teeth and use 3D imaging to ensure you are ready for implants and to assist us with planning your treatment.

When we’ve completed our comprehensive assessments, we’ll provide you with a full treatment plan that will include everything discussed in your initial assessment, along with the timings and costs of your treatment.
